Axis Bundles IP Camera with PowerDsine One-Port Power over Ethernet Mi

    HOD HASHARON, Israel & LUND, Sweden--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 5, 2005--PowerDsine(TM) (NASDAQ:PDSN), a pioneer in Power over Ethernet (PoE) solutions, has announced that Axis Communications is bundling the PowerDsine 3001 Power over Ethernet (PoE) Midspan with all new purchases of the Axis 211 Network Camera. The bundle offers a special promotion price and is open to most Axis sales channels globally until the end of April 2005.
    The PowerDsine 3001 is a one-port power hub, specifically designed for remote powering of IP Cameras, Wireless LAN Access Points (WLAN APs) and other low-port density deployments of IP equipment. The PoE midspan is fully compliant with the 802.3af PoE standard, ratified by the IEEE in June 2004. This affordable midspan product is compact and provides a safe way to power both 802.3af-compliant powered terminals as well as pre-standard powered terminals.
    An interlocking feature on the 3001 Midspan allows users to scale camera deployments by linking together multiple one-port midspans, making for a more organized wiring system as new devices are added to the network.
