However, the company clarified that since the discussions are ongoing, there can be no certainty as to whether any offer for Bavarian Nordic A/S by Nordic Capital and Permira will be made, or the timing or the terms of such offer.

Moreover, the company stated that it has no further comments about the potential takeover offer at this stage, referring to its normal procedure for the prompt provision of information to the financial market.

Currently, Bavarian Nordic's stock is surging 41.22 percent, to $37 on the OTC Markets.
