Black Hills Corp Earnings Decline 16% In Q2

(RTTNews) - Black Hills Corp (BKH) announced a profit for second quarter that fell from last year.

The company said its bottom line declined to $20.9 million, or $0.39 per share. This was down from $24.9 million, or $0.56 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.53 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 19.5% to $325.4 million. This was up from $272.3 million last year.
