Brinker International Q3 Net Income Increases

(RTTNews) - Brinker International Inc. (EAT) reported that its net income for the third-quarter increased to $49.8 million from $46.9 million last year. Quarterly earnings per share increased 28.4% to $1.31 from $1.02 in the prior year.

Earnings per share, excluding special items, in the third quarter of fiscal 2019 increased 16.7% to $1.26 compared to $1.08 in the third quarter of fiscal 2018. Sales increased 2.7% to $811.6 million from last year.

Total revenues for the quarter increased 3.3% to $839.3 million from the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $1.20 per share and revenues of $833.16 million. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's Board approved a quarterly dividend of $0.38 per share on the common stock of the Company. The dividend will be payable June 27, 2019 to shareholders of record as of June 7, 2019.
