planning is keenly aware of the challenges embedded in coordinating and
synchronizing multiple data protection processes. Between proprietary
mirroring schemes used by various storage hardware vendors, different
tape backup strategies, snapshot technologies, and other data copy
processes, just monitoring the completion of nightly backups or
validating the integrity of closed multiple proprietary mirrors is a
source of on-going expense, aggravation and pain. CA Recovery Management
is taking the right steps to centralize the management of data
protection services, complementing the administration of its own branded
backup and replication products with a robust scripting language that
can be—and is being—used
by smart business continuity professionals to bring third party data
protection processes under scrutiny. From where I’m
sitting, this is a foundational component of contemporary disaster
recovery and business continuity strategy.” -- Jon Toigo, CEO, Toigo Partners International, 25 year veteran
disaster recovery planner and author of five books on disaster recovery
planning "Customers with complex, heterogeneous IT
environments look to companies such as CA and VMware for flexible,
scalable and reliable enterprise solutions that deliver
interoperability. CA Recovery Management complements VMware
virtualization software for enhanced data and application protection and
management, and provides greater operational efficiencies and IT agility
for our joint customers.” -- Parag Patel, vice president, alliances, VMware "Many of our customers have already
implemented CA’s high performance
backup-and-recovery software with our cost-effective disk-based backup
system and data de-duplication technology to perform fast, reliable
backups and restores. With the new release of CA Recovery Management,
our joint solution provides customers with increased performance and
simplified administration that makes effective data protection and
restoration even easier.” -- Marc Crespi, vice president, product management, ExaGrid Systems,

Management offering paired with Bocada’s
analytics platform, enables IT to safeguard their data while achieving
policy and cost objectives.” -- Nancy Hurley, vice president, sales and marketing, Bocada "As companies utilize WAN-based offsite data
replication and failover solutions, they are leveraging acceleration
technologies to optimize end user performance and lower operational
costs. The combination of our Steelhead Appliances with CA Recovery
Management supports offsite replication of larger amounts of data and
failover for more applications, providing improved business resiliency
and higher service level agreement compliance.” -- Alan Saldich, vice president, product marketing, Riverbed
