Canadian Tire, Forrester Research and Manugistics to Speak at 2005 National Retail Federation Annual Convention Presentation Will Focus on Leading Edge Business and Technology Strategies for Consumer-Driven Supply Chains
Manugistics Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:MANU), a leading global provider of demand-driven supply chain management solutions, today announced it will present a technologies strategy and education session, in collaboration with partners, on mastering the consumer driven supply chain on January 18, 2005 at the annual National Retail Federation (NRF) Convention and Expo in New York City.
Expert panelists will include: Geoff Frodsham, Vice President of Logistics for Canadian Tire; Noha Tohamy, Principal Analyst of Forrester Research; and Lori Mitchell-Keller, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Solution Management for Manugistics. The presentation will take place from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. in room E16 of the Jacob Javits Convention Center.
NRF's annual convention, January 16-19, 2005, is the retail industry's premier event. NRF brings together global retail leaders that are shaping the future of the industry and provides a showcase for business and technology innovation.
During the presentation, "Mastering the Complexities of the Retail Supply Chain," speakers will provide valuable perspectives on the retail demand and supply chain, and share their expert insights on the industry as a whole. Audience members will learn how Canadian Tire is using technology to optimize carrier capacity and increase visibility across its entire supply chain.
"Diminishing carrier capacity is one of the retail industry's most grappling challenges," said Frodsham. "Canadian Tire has been able to overcome this obstacle by synchronizing and optimizing its demand and fulfillment needs some 26 weeks out. Our objective is to share practical retail business strategies that allow companies to save time and money."
Manugistics is the sponsor for the NRF Technology Strategies Track, which features four sessions representing different technology and business processes. The individual presentations will provide unique perspectives on how leading retailers are leveraging their technology investments to realize strategic advantage. Sessions will take place January 17 and 18 from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. in room E16 of the Jacob Javits Convention Center.
As Vice President of Logistics for Canadian Tire, Frodsham is responsible for a team of 250 persons ensuring the execution of daily operations of product flow for 2,000 suppliers to over 450 stores across Canada, all the while meeting performance standards for Service, Cost and Cycle time. In his role, Frodsham is involved in the development of Canadian Tire Retail and Supply Chain strategies, as well as in the management of relationships with many varied stakeholders in support of daily operations and policy administration. Frodsham has a Master's Degree in Business Administration as well as an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario. His entire career has been in the areas of Supply Chain Management, Process Re-engineering and Change Management and Information Technology.
Tohamy works in Forrester's Enterprise Applications research team, analyzing trends in the logistics and supply chain. Prior to joining Forrester, Tohamy held product development and implementation positions at supply chain management and logistics solution providers. Tohamy received her Master's degree in operations research from Georgia Institute of Technology, where she focused on the application of optimization in the supply chain. She received her Bachelor's of Science degree in mathematics with high honors from Emory University.
As Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Solution Management, Mitchell-Keller is responsible for developing and deploying the go-to-market strategies for Manugistics product and solutions, including development of marketing programs and associated tactics to build awareness and demand for Manugistics and its solutions. In her role, Mitchell-Keller oversees all development of Manugistics product infrastructure - including product architecture, integration, event management & analysis. Mitchell-Keller has built a fourteen-year career in marketing and operations management - including all aspects of the supply chain. Mitchell-Keller holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in industrial engineering from Iowa State University, in addition to a Master's of Science in operations research from Stanford University, and a Master's in Business Administration from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, with a concentration in management/strategy and marketing.
