Chico's FAS Announces 49% Advance In Q3 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Chico's FAS (CHS) reported a profit for its third quarter that gained ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $26.43 million, or $0.20 per share. This was higher than $17.70 million, or $0.13 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.13 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 7.5% to $596.91 million. This was down from $645.43 million last year.
