Citrix Certifies IT Professionals for Web 2.0 Application Delivery

Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), the global leader in application delivery infrastructure, today announced two Citrix Certified Administrator™ (CCA) certification tracks: CCA for Citrix® NetScaler® 8 and CCA for Citrix Access Gateway™ 8 Enterprise Edition. These are the first certifications focused on the NetScaler platform: one of the tracks concentrates on administration and support of Citrix NetScaler 8; the other concentrates on Citrix Access Gateway 8 Enterprise Edition, which is a built-in component of Citrix NetScaler 8. The new certifications prepare IT professionals to become experts on Citrix NetScaler and evolve their professional skill set to address new technology developments in the Web 2.0 space. As new technology trends such as Web 2.0, enterprise mash-ups and service-oriented architectures (SOA) increase the complexity of application environments, user expectations regarding the performance and availability of enterprise web applications are changing. Citrix application delivery infrastructure enables the best delivery method for any application to any location over any network in a secure, efficient, and cost-effective manner. The NetScaler platform optimizes the delivery of web applications for millions of users worldwide and is an integral part of Citrix application delivery infrastructure. The new CCA certification tracks provide IT administrators the ability to bring much of the Web 2.0 user experience to the world of enterprise web applications by improving the experience of corporate users. "The new CCA certifications on the NetScaler platform demonstrate our commitment to providing IT professionals with top-quality training and certification programs on state-of-the-art, secure application delivery,” said Julieann Scalisi, senior director of Citrix Education, Citrix Systems. "Both certifications will allow IT administrators to stay abreast of evolving technology trends in the application delivery market space, while ultimately maximizing the performance, security and cost savings of their Citrix environments.” To obtain the CCA for Citrix NetScaler 8 certification, candidates must pass Citrix exam 731, Citrix NetScaler 8.0: Administration. Two new instructor-led courses will be available to prepare candidates for the exam.
