Cognos Customers Honored at Cognos Forum 2007
At its annual customer conference in Orlando yesterday, Cognos (Nasdaq:
COGN; TSX: CSN), the world leader in business
intelligence and performance
management solutions, awarded 10 of its customers with Cognos
Performance Leaders Awards.
The award winners demonstrate world-class business intelligence
implementations or innovation in financial planning and control across
three categories: Leadership in Technology, Leadership in the Office of
Finance and Performance Visionary.

Cognos awarded The Boeing Company,
the world's leading aerospace company and the largest manufacturer
of commercial jetliners and military aircraft combined, with the Impact
Through Technical Innovation Award. This award recognizes the
individuals and teams that have lead business change and achieved
demonstrated impact for the organization using Cognos solutions.
Cognos awarded Freightliner,
LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler, and the largest
heavy-duty truck manufacturer in North America, with its Operational
Excellence Award. This award honors a line of business that
has achieved operational excellence in a key performance area for their
organization.
Leadership in the Office of Finance: Folksam Insurance
Group, a leading Swedish mid-market insurance company, was
awarded the Executive Excellence Award, which honors an
executive who has leveraged Cognos solutions to increase visibility and
control over financial and operational performance for their
organization.
The finance team of QUALCOMM CDMA
Technologies, a leading developer and innovator of Code Division
Multiple Access (CDMA) and other advanced wireless technologies, was
recognized with the Innovation and Best Practices Award.
BASF Corporation,
Bloorview Kids Rehab, BlueCross
Blue Shield of Tennessee, The City of
Albuquerque, DIRECTV and Miami-Dade
County Public Schools were honored with Performance Visionary
Awards as organizations that have achieved game-changing business
impact through the use of Cognos solutions, have defined a vision for
achieving performance leadership or have enabled business performance in
new ways with tangible business impact.
