"Deloitte Consulting is pleased to be a Platinum sponsor of Cognos Forum 2007. Both companies share a common goal of enabling our clients to drive better and faster decisions, greater accountability, and stronger alignment between strategy and execution. The costs and consequences of not giving this executive attention are significant," said Scott Sognefest, a principal with Deloitte Consulting and the company's U.S. practice leader for business intelligence and data warehousing. "More money is being spent in this area than most corporations realize. In many cases it could be one of the largest unmanaged costs in the business. Perhaps more importantly, the risk associated with producing inaccurate information is greater than it has ever been before. The average impact of a restatement is 18% of your share price 60 days after the fact. That is a great deal of money that people just cannot ignore.” About Cognos: Cognos, the world leader in business intelligence and performance management solutions, provides world-class enterprise planning and BI software and services to help companies plan, understand and manage financial and operational performance.
