Compass Minerals' North American Salt Division Launches Safe Step(R) Line of Professional Deicing Products

North American Salt Company, a subsidiary of Compass Minerals (NYSE: CMP), has announced the addition of four new cost-effective formulations to its industry-leading Safe Step ice melter series. "Maintenance professionals have come to rely on the Safe Step brand for quality, performance and reliability. With our expanded product offering, they can now find Safe Step deicing solutions for a broader range of weather conditions and budgets,” said Greg Jennings, Vice President Sales and Marketing. In addition to the original formulation, Safe Step Pro Series 950, the new family of Safe Step branded deicers will include Safe Step Pro Series 750 Magnesium Chloride, a specialty deicer that melts to -25°F and is gentler to people, structures and vegetation than calcium chloride; Safe Step Pro Series 550 Select Blend and Pro Series 570 Select Blend Blue, blended through a patented process to combine performance with value; and Safe Step Pro Series 370 Econo Blend Blue, a value blend for large applications.
