Soliant Health, the healthcare staffing unit of MPS Group, Inc. (NYSE:MPS), has released its list of the 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals in the United States for 2009. Winners were chosen based on measures such as architectural style, photogenic properties, landscaping and distinctiveness.

Soliant Health offers hospitals and other medical providers temporary and direct-hire healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, therapists and pharmacists, with placements in leading facilities across the United States.

"We were inspired to create this list by recent data that found ‘happy hospitals make happy patients,’” said David Alexander, president of Soliant Health. "As a provider of healthcare professionals for hospitals, we recognize that staff morale and attention to patients’ needs are critical to patients’ happiness, but the survey also showed that another factor in satisfaction was how the hospital actually looked.”
