Curtiss-Wright Chairman Benante To Retire, CEO Adams To Succeed - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Curtiss-Wright Corp. (CW) Executive Chairman Martin Benante announced Thursday that he will retire from the company, effective January 1, 2015. The company has named President and Chief Executive Officer David Adams to succeed Benante as Chairman and CEO, effective January 1.

As part of the formal transition plan announced in 2013, Benante will continue as a member of the Board of Directors until the conclusion of the company's next Annual Meeting in May 2015, at which time he will retire from the Board.

Benante, who served the company for 37-years, has been the chairman since April 2000 and a director of the company since 1999. He also served as the company's chief executive officer from April 2000 until August 2013.

Prior to April 2000, Benante served in a variety of important leadership roles, including general manager of the company's former Flow Control Target Rock business unit, president of the former flow control segment, vice president of the company.
