D R Horton Inc. Q1 Income Rises 11%

(RTTNews) - D R Horton Inc. (DHI) released a profit for its first quarter that rose from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $157.7 million, or $0.42 per share. This was up from $142.5 million, or $0.39 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.41 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 4.9% to $2.36 billion. This was up from $2.25 billion last year.
