Deere And Co Q3 Earnings Rise 31%

(RTTNews) - Deere And Co (DE) announced a profit for its third quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $641.8 million, or $1.97 per share. This was up from $488.8 million, or $1.55 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.95 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 16.6% to $6.83 billion. This was up from $5.86 billion last year.
