Delta Apparel Reports Profit In Q1 - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Delta Apparel, Inc. (DLA) reported first-quarter net income of $681 thousand, or $0.09 per share, compared to a net loss of $4.2 million, or $0.53 per share, prior year. The company said its operating profit increased $5.4 million, from a $3.2 million loss in the prior year period.

Net sales were $90.2 million compared to $93.4 million in the prior year's first quarter, before making the sales adjustment. The company said its net sales increased 2.5% year-over-year, after adjusting for sales in the prior year quarter attributed to the company's since-divested The Game business.
