Deutsche Bank Expands US Convertible and Equity-Linked Solutions Practice; Peter Barna Joins as a Director

Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. today announced that PeterBarna has joined the firm as a Director in the US Convertible andEquity Linked Solutions group. Barna is based in New York and reportsto Brooks Harris, Head of US Convertible and Equity-Linked Solutions.

Barna joins Deutsche Bank after eight years with Merrill Lynch,where he was a Director in Equity-Linked Capital Markets and hadresponsibility for both public and private equity derivatives. Beforejoining Merrill Lynch, Barna worked for Moore Capital and Coopers andLybrand.

"Peter is a talented and creative banker and his expertise isperfectly suited for our continued push into innovative equity-linkedsolutions for our corporate clients," said Harris. "Convertibles andprivate equity derivatives are successful and growing products for us,so we are excited to have another experienced banker join our team."

Barna earned his BA in Accountancy from Villanova University andan MBA from New York University.
