DeVry Inc. Selects SunGard Higher Education for New Student Information System
DeVry Inc. (NYSE: DV), a global provider of educational services, announced it has selected SunGard Higher Education to provide DeVry’s new student information system. SunGard Higher Education’s Banner Unified Digital Campus system will be implemented as part of DeVry’s Project DELTA to help increase levels of efficiency and strengthen student service. Banner will replace the existing student information system at DeVry University and the Chamberlain College of Nursing.
"As part of DeVry’s strategy to build its infrastructure, SunGard Higher Education’s Banner Unified Digital Campus will enhance our ability to support student services,” said Daniel Hamburger, chief executive officer and president of DeVry Inc. "SunGard will also provide the expertise needed to help integrate these systems. As the new system becomes operational, it will help our operations function more efficiently, streamline our students’ educational experience and provide flexibility to support our future expansion.”
The Project DELTA initiative will elevate DeVry University’s and the Chamberlain College of Nursing’s customer service through systems that will provide personalized information to the right people at the right time. Implementation of Project DELTA will result in a cost of approximately $40-50 million over the next three to five years.
"We are committed to helping DeVry execute its core business strategies, serve its many diverse constituencies, and expand its online capabilities through Project DELTA,” said Michael Muratore, interim chief executive officer, SunGard Higher Education. "Working together, we will help DeVry achieve new levels of service and enhance its position as a global leader in career-oriented education services.”
