Disney Taking A Chance On River Cruises
(RTTNews) - Walt Disney Co.'s Adventures by Disney has reportedly teamed up with AmaWaterways to offer family-oriented river cruises on the Danuber river.
According to reports, both the companies have reached a partnership to start five week-long Danube River cruises that will focus largely on families, starting in summer 2016.
Adventures by Disney, the tour operator unit of Walt Disney, will offer four cruises during summer and one in December. The seven-night cruises travels through Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary. The cruises is scheduled for July 7, 14, 21 and 28, 2016.
Adventures by Disney will charter the new AmaViola, a ship that is being custom-built for families with cabins that can hold about five people. This family oriented river cruises is something new to the market as river cruises are traditionally sailed by older adults.
