Eric Smith Joins Deutsche Bank as Chief Financial Officer, Americas
Deutsche Bank today announced that Eric Smith will join the firm as Chief Financial Officer, Americas. He will be based in New York as part of the Office of the CEO of Deutsche Bank Americas, Seth Waugh, and report to Stefan Krause, Deutsche Bank’s Chief Financial Officer and Member of its Management Board.
Smith has nearly 25 years of experience and was most recently at Credit Suisse as Head of Group Financial Accounting. Prior to that, he held financial accounting leadership positions at KPMG LLP and Citigroup.
"Eric combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills,” said Krause. "These capabilities will enable him to partner with senior management across the Americas to identify new efficiencies and foster continued growth in the region.”

Smith earned an MBA in professional accounting and a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Texas at Arlington.
