Exelon Corp Q3 Profit Advances 11%

(RTTNews) - Exelon Corp (EXC) announced earnings for its third quarter that increased from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $841 million, or $0.91 per share. This was higher than $757 million, or $0.83 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.78 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 19.3% to $8.84 billion. This was up from $7.41 billion last year.
