Forward Air Profit Rises 36% In Q4

(RTTNews) - Forward Air (FWRD) revealed earnings for its fourth quarter that climbed compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $23.23 million, or $0.75 per share. This was higher than $17.05 million, or $0.55 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.64 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 19.8% to $256.42 million. This was up from $214.06 million last year.
