Helix Energy Solutions Bottom Line Falls 87% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Helix Energy Solutions (HLX) announced a profit for third quarter that retreated from last year.

The company said its earnings fell to $9.88 million, or $0.09 per share. This was down from $75.59 million, or $0.71 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.08 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 46.5% to $182.46 million. This was down from $340.84 million last year.
