(RTTNews) - Helix Energy Solutions Group, Inc. (HLX) Wednesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $36.5 million or $0.35 per share, compared to a loss of $171.6 million or $1.64 per share in the same period last year.

Earnings from continuing operations totaled $108.8 million or $1.03 per share. On average, seven analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.33 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
