Horace Mann Educators Reports 19% Rise In Q4 Profit

(RTTNews) - Horace Mann Educators (HMN) reported earnings for its fourth quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $21.4 million, or $0.52 per share. This was higher than $18.0 million, or $0.43 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.40 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 2.4% to $282.8 million. This was up from $276.1 million last year.
