Hospitality Properties Trust Announces 8% Gain In Q3 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Hospitality Properties Trust (HPT) reported a profit for its third quarter that gained ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $162.14 million, or $1.03 per share. This was up from $149.69 million, or $0.99 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.05 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 6.2% to $543.52 million. This was up from $511.89 million last year.
