Immersion Broadens the TouchSense® Experience with Demonstrations at Mobile World Congress
This week at Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, Immersion Corporation (NASDAQ:IMMR), the leading developer and licensor of touch feedback technology, is unveiling new tactile experiences designed with TouchSense® Technology. Through demonstrations of innovative real-world applications of tactile effects in mobile video, games, advertising, wearables, and smart phones, Immersion is introducing the mobile ecosystem to an array of higher quality, richer experiences enhanced with haptic technology. This showcase, located in App Planet, Hall 8.1, Stand 8.1G41, at the Fira Gran Via, includes a wearable demonstration using the company’s recently announced Instinctive Alerts Framework and TouchSense Core Solution for Wearables.
"We expect to see a lot of news around wearables this year at Mobile World Congress 2015. We’re eager to show our customers how TouchSense Solutions can create more intuitive and valuable user experiences, in both wearables and mobile,” said Dennis Sheehan, senior vice president of marketing at Immersion. "Many of our customers are focused on creating a premium experience that connects with the consumer. Because touch technology creates a tangible and personal connection, TouchSense Solutions can play a significant role in defining a high quality and compelling user experience.”
Immersion’s TouchSense Technology enables device manufacturers and content creators to add the sense of touch to their digital experiences, extending the value of their products and brand, and creating a deeper engagement with consumers. Specifically, the TouchSense Engage™ and TouchSense Core™ solutions provide content publishers and OEMs, respectively, with software, tools and resources to help them design and quickly launch new tactile experiences to market. While at Mobile World Congress 2015, visitors to the Immersion’s booth will experience:
