Invensys Hosts OpsManage’09 / WonderWorld

Invensys Operations Management, a global provider of technology systems, software solutions and consulting services to the process and manufacturing industries, today announced that it will host an expanded series of international events focusing on the successful implementation of sustainable best business practices in the manufacturing and industrial markets.

OpsManage’09 / WonderWorld kicks off with a North American event, to be held November 3 to 5 in Anaheim, Calif. The new format will combine traditional WonderWorld content with a comprehensive view of the latest solutions from Invensys Operations Management and its open partner ecosystem, including demonstrations of the company’s latest Avantis, Eurotherm, InFusion, Foxboro, SimSci-Esscor, Triconex and Wonderware offerings. As the global sponsor, Microsoft will be on hand to discuss the results of co-innovation between Invensys and Invensys customers using the latest Microsoft technologies.

The events will feature educational sessions that concentrate on sustainable resource and business performance management, focusing on effective technology implementation and business best practices for manufacturing and infrastructure operations. Presentations will cover asset management and effectiveness, mobile solutions, safety practices, manufacturing intelligence, process automation and energy management. Forums focused on specific vertical industries, including food and beverage; mining, metals, and minerals; facilities management; power; water/wastewater; upstream oil and gas; pharmaceuticals; and chemicals, will also be featured.

OpsManage’09 / WonderWorld will also include a Partner Expo, a variety of Invensys ecosystem partners who will present methodologies and solutions expertise for achieving sustainable business success. Industry-specific presentations will showcase manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, products and software experiences, and attendees will be able to participate in hands-on demonstrations of innovative Invensys Operations Management solutions.

Keynote speakers in Anaheim will include Sudipta Bhattacharya, president and chief executive officer of Invensys Operations Management; David Haft, group vice president, sustainability and productivity, Frito-Lay North America; and Tyler Bryson, general manager of the manufacturing and resources sector for Microsoft. Bhattacharya will discuss innovations and Invensys Operations Management strategies; Haft will share Frito Lay’s sustainability initiatives and business results; Bryson will highlight co-innovations that are part of the joint Microsoft and Invensys roadmaps.
