    TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 4, 2005--Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJ, NASDAQ: IIJI), one of Japan's leading Internet access and comprehensive network solutions providers, today announced that its 26.7% affiliate Asia Internet Holding Co., Ltd. (AIH) has completed the upgrade of A-Bone connectivity for JARING (Headquarters: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Chief Executive Officer: Dr. Mohamed bin Awang Lah) from 45Mbps to 155Mbps on December 29, 2004.
    It is expected that global IP network service will be in greater demand between Japan and Malaysia since Malaysia has strongly developed an advanced information network environment as a national strategy. AIH will also continue to enhance its network services along with value-added services in order to contribute to further improvement of the Internet environment within Asia-Pacific countries.
