John Bean Technologies Q2 Results Top Estimates

(RTTNews) - John Bean Technologies Corp. (JBT) reported net income for the second quarter of $14.4 million or $0.48 per share, compared to $11.4 million or $0.38 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Revenue for the second quarter rose 2.8% to $254.6 million from $247.6 million a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.43 per share on revenue of $251.93 million for the second quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company raised its full-year revenue growth projection to about 7% from its earlier projection of 4%. The company said it now expects full year 2015 earnings to be in the range of $1.70 to $1.80 per share, compared to its previous guidance of $1.65 to $1.80 per share.

Analysts currently expect the company to earn $1.75 per share on revenue growth of 4.50% for the full year 2015.
