Kansas City Southern Announces 7% Decline In Q3 Earnings
(RTTNews) - Kansas City Southern (KSU) reported a profit for third quarter that dropped from last year.
The company said its bottom line fell to $132.9 million, or $1.21 per share. This was down from $143.0 million, or $1.29 per share, in last year's third quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.22 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter fell 6.7% to $631.9 million. This was down from $677.5 million last year.
