Kaplan to Offer Programmes towards University of London Degrees

Kaplan, the provider of higher education and professional training and part of The Washington Post Company, will offer London campus-based programmes for students wishing to study for one of several University of London degrees.

Tuition will be offered to students registered with the University of London International Programmes, which is a part of the University of London, for degrees assessed and awarded by the University. Kaplan Business School will provide tuition and support for these programmes and will be able to offer places to students who find themselves in clearing following the release of A-level results this week for courses starting in the autumn.

Recently, Universities Minister David Willetts referred to the University of London International Programmes (formerly the "External System”) as an excellent way to widen participation in higher education and raise standards. Students of these programmes achieve exactly the same standard of recognised qualification as those who attend the University itself.

Kaplan Business School will offer tuition for the following University of London awards: Bachelor of Laws (LLB); BSc Accounting and Finance; BSc Accounting with Law; BSc Banking and Finance; BSc Business; BSc Economics and Finance. All awards of University of London International Programmes result from a collaboration between the University and its constituent Colleges.

Kaplan already offers business, accounting and finance degree programmes at campuses in five cities throughout the UK including central London. Kaplan also has a partnership with the University of Essex to provide online degree programmes in Business Studies, Financial Services and Criminal Justice.
