Let'em Eat Pie! - Four Points by Sheraton Celebrates National Pie Day with Free Pie!
In celebration of National Pie Day and in honor of Four Points by Sheraton’s "Four Pies” program, on January 23rd more than 40 hotels across the U.S. and Canada will serve up hundreds of free slices of award-winning pie. Guests who stay at a participating hotel can indulge in one of the brand’s many Simple Pleasures (sm) with a free slice of pie between 6pm-7pm during "Happy Pie Hour”. Four Points shares their love of pie every day through its Four Pies program, featuring pie in its restaurants, room service and filling its lobbies with apple-cinnamon pie scent . A sample of hotels participating in today’s "Happy Pie Hour” celebration include the Four Points by Sheraton Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile, Four Points by Sheraton Cocoa Beach, Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan Chelsea, Four Points by Sheraton Toronto Airport West and Four Points by Sheraton Washington D.C. Downtown. So Why Pie? According to Sandy Swider, Vice President of Four Points by Sheraton, a great piece of pie perfectly embodies the Four Points brand values of simple, uncomplicated comfort. "There is nothing more satisfying than a great piece of pie. Want to make people smile and think of good times? Just serve a warm pie with a nice, cold glass of milk – it’s like giving someone a warm hug.” And don’t just take her word for it. According to the "Four Points Pie Portrait of America,” an examination of how Americans enjoy their signature dessert, 90 percent said a slice of pie represents one of the simple pleasures in life, 47 percent said that when they thought of pie the word "comforting” came to mind and 39 percent said the smell of pie conjures up "happy memories.” Looking for romance? According to the survey, chocolate is the pie more Americans (27 percent) associate with romance, nearly double the number who link love’s potential with banana cream or apple (both 14 percent). Easy as Pie Pie lovers rejoice! With Four Points by Sheraton’s "Four Pies” program your own slice of heaven is just a room service button away, whether you choose the award winning Country Apple pie, made exclusively from over a pound of Michigan apples, the French Silk chocolate pie or a favorite seasonal or regional pie. In addition, Four Points hotels have an exclusive relationship with the Pie Council of America to help spread the word about the virtues of America’s most treasured dessert. "We welcome Four Points’ commitment to help celebrate National Pie Day for the second year in a row and spread the gospel of pie,” said Linda Hoskins, Executive Director of the American Pie Council. "Indeed, pie is one of life’s simple pleasures and no other dessert elicits such warm memories. Four Points is not only promoting pie, it’s serving its guests the best possible dessert.” The Four Points hotels participating in today’s "Happy Pie” Hour are: Four Points by Sheraton Ann Arbor, Michigan Four Points by Sheraton Bakersfield, California Four Points by Sheraton Bangor Airport, Maine Four Points by Sheraton Boston Logan Airport, Massachusetts Four Points by Sheraton BWI Airport, Maryland Four Points by Sheraton Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile, Illinois Four Points by Sheraton Cocoa Beach, Florida Four Points by Sheraton Columbus Airport, Georgia Four Points by Sheraton Denver Cherry Creek, Colorado Four Points by Sheraton Destin-Fort Walton Beach, Florida Four Points by Sheraton Eastham Cape Cod, Massachusetts Four Points by Sheraton Fairview Heights, Illinois Four Points by Sheraton Fresno, California Four Points by Sheraton Hagerstown, Maryland Four Points by Sheraton Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Four Points by Sheraton Hyannis Resort, Massachusetts Four Points by Sheraton Kansas City Airport, Missouri Four Points by Sheraton Leominster, Massachusetts Four Points by Sheraton Lexington, Kentucky Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Suites London, Ontario Four Points by Sheraton Los Angeles International Airport, California Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan Chelsea, New York Four Points by Sheraton Meriden, Connecticut Four Points by Sheraton Milwaukee North, Wisconsin Four Points by Sheraton Minneapolis, Minnesota Four Points by Sheraton Toronto Airport West. Figures for gender, age, and geography were weighted where necessary to match their actual proportions in the population. In theory, with probability samples of this size, one could say with 95 percent certainty that the results have a statistical precision of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points of what they would be if the entire adult population had been polled with complete accuracy. In addition to sampling error, question wording and practical difficulties in conducting surveys can introduce error or bias into the findings of public opinion polls. This online survey is not a probability sample. (Note: This press release contains forward-looking statements within the meaning of federal securities regulations.
