(RTTNews) - LyondellBasell Industries (LYB) reported that its third-quarter income from continuing operations increased to $854 million, or $1.51 per share, from $851 million, or $1.47 per share, last year. Net income was $851 million or $1.50 per share, compared to $844 million or $1.46 per share, prior year.

On average, 18 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $1.58 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Sales and other operating revenues decreased to $11.15 billion, from $11.27 billion, last year. Analysts expected revenue of $11.28 billion for the quarter.
