Marriott Teams Up With What's Trending For Original Content

(RTTNews) - Marriott is partnering with What's Trending and five You Tube stars as part of efforts by the hotel operator to attract the younger generation to its brands and popularize features, including its mobile check-in process.

What's Trending, a daily, live, interactive television show on YouTube covers the trending videos and personalities on YouTube. The partnership will see five YouTube stars in the "Experiences" series, featured in videos for the newly formed Marriott Global Content Studio.

Participants in the "Experiences" series are Jeana from PrankVsPrank, Louis Cole from FunForLouis, Steve Zaragoza from Sourcefed, and Meghan Camarena from Strawburry17, all of them trying an array of activities.

In the episodes, Jeana travels to New York City for a culinary experience with chef Einat Admony of Balaboosta, and Steve takes viewers on a tour of the London sausage company. Franconian Meaghan will be in Los Angeles on a helicopter, Tom visits San Francisco and tries paintballing, and Louis attempts martial arts in Shanghai.

Marriott hopes "Experiences" will, apart from entertaining viewers, also showcase its hotel properties and features within.

"One of the key strategies of the Marriott Content Studio is to partner with and enable the creative community to do what they do best — create compelling story driven content in all formats across all screens," said David Beebe, a vice president at Marriott.

"In partnering with What's Trending and top YouTube talent from different channel genres, the influencers experienced new activities in various locations from around the world and created content that both entertains and informs viewers."
