Modine Wins $15.0 Million Program to Supply MAN D08 Engines with Exhaust Gas Recirculation Coolers to Meet EURO 4 Emissions Standards

Modine Manufacturing Company (NYSE:MOD), a world leaderin designing and developing heating and cooling solutions for thetruck, automotive, heavy-duty and industrial markets, announced todayit has been awarded a program to supply exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) coolers representing $15.0 million in sales over three years tothe MAN Group, one of Europe's leading manufacturers of heavy-dutydiesel engines, trucks and buses. These EGR coolers will help MAN andits customers to meet the European EURO 4 emission requirements forheavy-duty diesel engines that take effect for all trucks manufacturedon and after October 2006.

Modine will be supplying EGR coolers for MAN's new 4 and 6cylinder D0834 and D0836 engines, mainly used on MAN's new TGL and TGMlight and medium truck lines. "This is another step in our growingrelationship with MAN. We are working with them to find thermalsolutions, to help them meet the new, more strict emissionsrequirements that every European truck manufacturer must achieve,"said Klaus Feldmann, Modine's Group Vice President Europe.

Modine's 250 workers at its Mezokovesd, Hungary plant will producethe EGR coolers, which will be shipped to MAN's Nuremberg facility."For the last several years our engineers have worked intensively withMAN to develop their EURO 3 and 4 EGR systems. We initially launchedin January 2000 with the D28 EURO 3 EGR module, the first heavy truckEGR application worldwide, and today we continue to support MAN withinnovative technical solutions meeting their demanding technicalrequirements.
