Moog Q2 Profit Rises; Updates 2014 Projections - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Moog Inc. (MOG.A, MOG.B) reported that its second-quarter net earnings increased to $38 million or $0.82 per share, from $36.5 million or $0.80 per share, previous year.

On average, seven analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.82 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total sales were $650 million, compared to 643.0 million, a year ago. Analysts expected revenue of $649.20 million for the quarter.

The company also updated its projections for 2014 to include sales for the year at $2.64 billion, net earnings of $169 million and earnings per share of $3.65. Analysts expect the company to report 2014 earnings per share of $3.71 on revenue of $2.63 billion.
