Morgan Keegan Opens Shattuck Hammond Office in Nashville

Morgan Keegan & Company, Inc. has expanded its Shattuck Hammond Partners division with a new Nashville-based office and a new team of six veteran investment banking professionals who specialize in the healthcare industry, the firm announced today. A division of Morgan Keegan, Shattuck Hammond Partners is an investment banking and financial advisory group that specializes in the healthcare industry and operates under the Shattuck Hammond name. The new Nashville office is located at 30 Burton Hills Blvd., Suite 500, Nashville, Tenn., 37215 and can be reached at 615-665-3844.

"Our expansion to Nashville, a city widely recognized as a healthcare industry capital, represents a strong commitment to this market segment, to the clients we serve and to our healthcare corporate finance practice, said Michael Hammond, a managing director at Morgan Keegan and head of the Shattuck Hammond division. "The citys history of attracting innovative healthcare companies is a natural fit with our ongoing initiative to secure Shattuck Hammonds position as one of the nations pre-eminent healthcare investment banking groups.

The new members of the Shattuck Hammond team joined Morgan Keegan from the healthcare investment banking group at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey in Nashville. Hammond described the six-member team as "the best of the best.

"They are nationally known and highly regarded professionals, who are dedicated to providing innovative solutions to healthcare-related clients with investment banking needs. They will continue to build long-term relationships in the Nashville community as well as the broader industry and offer our clients an unmatched level of domain expertise and service, added Hammond.

Duncan Dashiff, a 17-year healthcare investment banking veteran who joins the firm as a managing director, will lead the Nashville team. Dashiff was a managing director and co-head of the healthcare corporate and investment banking group at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey. Prior to that, he worked in healthcare investment banking for some thirteen years while at Smith Barney in New York City and at SunTrust Equitable Securities and Raymond James, both in Nashville. During a 15-year period, Dashiff has executed a wide range of mergers, acquisitions and financing transactions for healthcare-related clients. He is a graduate of University of Alabama and holds a M.B.A. from University of Chicago.

Joining Dashiff are former SunTrust Robinson Humphrey investment bankers David Meagher and Chris Rogers. Meagher was hired as a senior vice-president and Rogers as a first vice-president in the Shattuck Hammond Nashville-based office. Together, they have more than 25 years experience in providing investment banking and advisory services to the healthcare industry. Meagher is a graduate of College of the Holy Cross and holds a M.S. from DePaul University. Rogers graduated from Connecticut College and holds a M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University.

In addition, Patrick Walsh and Chris Dorn join Shattuck Hammond as associates in the Nashville office. Completing the Shattuck Hammond Nashville team as an analyst is "Jack Sang Jeong, also formerly with the SunTrust Robinson Humphrey healthcare group.
