NEC and Archivas Partner to Deliver Scalable Enterprise Archive Solutions

NEC Corporation of America, a premier provider of IT, network and telephony solutions, today announced a strategic partnership with Archivas, the leading provider of digital archiving solutions, where NEC will integrate and sell Archivas Cluster (ArC) software with its line of high-performance, modular storage arrays. NEC is integrating the ArC software, NEC arrays, and NEC servers to offer a robust, scalable archive solution for enterprise customers. ArC allows customers to easily store, protect, and access fixed content from multiple originating applications in a highly scalable repository for applications like email, medical records, financial documents and scientific research data. ArC provides file-level retention, protection, shredding, and other active, object-based policies. It also provides integrated search and indexing to enable accurate e-discovery, search, and dynamic classification. Integrating ArC with enterprise applications is simple through the use of industry-standard protocols like CIFS, NFS, HTTP, and WebDAV.
