Niku Web Based Training Provides Professional Development Units ''PDUs'' for Project Management Institute ''PMI'' Members Niku Certified in PMI's Registered Education Provider Program; Expands Web Based Training Course Availability
Niku Corporation (Nasdaq:NIKU), the leader in IT Management and Governance (IT-MG) solutions, today announced that it has been designated by the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Registered Education Provider. This gives Niku customers who are PMI members another valuable venue for securing Professional Development Units as part of their Project Management Professional (PMP) certification maintenance. As part of today's announcement, Niku also is introducing two additional Web Based Training courses.
"Niku is committed to ensuring that users at all levels of an organization get the greatest value out of the Clarity solution," said Kurt Kilgore, Director of Services Operations at Niku. "Our Web Based Training program delivers high-impact coursework in a convenient, accessible environment that is easily customizable to a company's own look and feel. Thousands of Niku users representing customers around the world -- at both large and small organizations -- are already enrolled in this program."
As a Registered Education Provider (REP), Niku has been approved by PMI to offer certification maintenance training to Project Management Professionals (PMP). As certified PMPs, individuals must meet specific education and experience requirements and agree to adhere to a code of professional conduct. Those professionals who have attained the PMP credential are among the largest and most prestigious group of certified professionals in the project management community.
"We have been very pleased with Niku's training program," said Paul Bamford, Head of Consumer Marketing Programme Management at Vodafone. "By letting employees work the training into their own schedules, Niku's Web Based Training has eliminated the headaches of booking training rooms and coordinating schedules."
"Early user feedback from Niku's Web Based Training program indicates that the courses are of exceptional quality, providing a rich learning experience," said Te Wu, Vice President of Program Management, Access Group. "Through the use of Web Based Training programs, we significantly reduced the amount of customized training development, which resulted in significant cost savings in both training development and delivery."
