Noble Energy Inc Reveals 37% Gain In Q4 Profit

(RTTNews) - Noble Energy Inc (NBL) revealed a profit for its fourth quarter that gained ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $191 million, or $0.44 per share. This was higher than $139 million, or $0.38 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn -$0.04 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 20.6% to $0.85 billion. This was down from $1.07 billion last year.
