Nordstrom Inc. Reports 43% Decline In Q3 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Nordstrom Inc. (JWN) revealed earnings for third quarter that retreated from last year.

The company said its profit came in at $81 million, or $0.42 per share. This was down from $142 million, or $0.73 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.72 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 6.1% to $3.33 billion. This was up from $3.14 billion last year.
