NTT Communications To Expand IP Network To Thailand - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - NTT Communications Corp., the data and IP services arm of telecom firm NTT (NTT), said it would expand its global IP network footprint with a new point-of-presence in Bangkok, Thailand, beginning July 1.

NTT Com will offer IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack access via its award-winning Tier-1 IP network to domestic providers of Internet services and content, as well as multinational companies providing Internet-related services in Thailand and the Greater Mekong Sub-region or GMS countries.

NTT Com will leverage its presence in Thailand to strengthen the country's Internet environment, where a population of over 67 million is driving some 70 percent compound annual growth in international IP traffic.

The new point-of-presence also will enhance the Internet environment throughout the GMS, which has a population of approximately 300 million.
