NXP Semiconductors Profit Tops Estimates, Sales In Line

(RTTNews) - NXP Semiconductors NV (NXPI) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net earnings of $300 million or $1.23 per share compared with $159 million or $0.64 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $1.44 per share compared with $1.09 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $1.51 billion compared with $1.35 billion in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $1.37 per share on revenues of $1.51 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the third quarter, the company expects adjusted earnings of $1.45 to $1.55 per share on revenues of $1.53 billion to $1.58 billion. Analysts expect earnings of $1.49 per share on revenues of $1.60 billion.
