Papa John's Announces Promotion of Bill Van Epps to President, USA

Papa John's International, Inc. (NASDAQ: PZZA) todayannounced the promotion of Bill Van Epps to the newly created positionof President, USA. Van Epps has been with Papa John's since 2001,having served as the company's chief operations officer from 2004 to2006 and managing director, international, from 2001 to 2004.

As President, USA, Van Epps is responsible for the company'sdomestic restaurant operations, restaurant development and brandmarketing. Van Epps will also continue to serve on the company'sInternational management committee and oversee operations in theUnited Kingdom until a President of the international division ishired.

"Bill has made considerable contributions to the growth of PapaJohn's domestic business over the past few years," said Nigel Travis,Papa John's president and chief executive officer. "We look forward tohis continued leadership in growing our brand in his new position."

Van Epps has more than 30 years of foodservice experienceincluding 25 years in the international arena. Previous to joiningPapa John's in 2001, Van Epps served as President of the InternationalDivision of Yorkshire Global Restaurants, responsible for all aspectsof Yorkshire's International business for both Long John's Silver'sand A&W restaurants. His experience also includes a tenure with AFCEnterprises in which he was President of the International Divisionand President of Worldwide Business Development.
