Patterson-UTI Reports Drilling Activity For December - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Onshore contract driller Patterson-UTI Energy, Inc. (PTEN) reported that it had an average of 208 drilling rigs operating in the U.S. and eight rigs in Canada for the month of December.

For the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2014, the company had an average of 210 drilling rigs operating in the U.S. and nine rigs in Canada.

The average drilling rigs operating reported in the company's monthly announcements represent the average number of the company's drilling rigs that were operating under a drilling contract.

The company said it intends to continue providing monthly updates on drilling rigs operating shortly after the end of each month.
