Pennsylvania DCED Secretary Davin Continues 'Jobs that Pay' Tour at Quality Mould, Inc. in Westmoreland County

LATROBE, Pa., Dec. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Dennis Davin today continued his 'Jobs that Pay' tour at Quality Mould, Inc. (QMI), a producer of diversified products for customers form various manufacturing fields.

We toured QMI's Latrobe facility and experienced its day-to-day operations firsthand, discussed the impact of the PIDA loan that the QMI received, and learned about the company's job creation efforts and plans," said Sec. In October 2015, The Southwestern Pennsylvania Corporation was awarded a $190,000, 15-year loan at 3.75 percent, on behalf of QMI for the purchase of real estate and machinery located in Unity Township, Westmoreland County. The project would allow the company to keep up with increased customer demand. The project included a 33,000-square-foot building with room for expansion on 3.44-acres, warehouse racks, a crane, compressors, and an air-drying system. The total project cost was projected to be $1,675,000, and would create three new jobs while retaining 23 existing positions.
