Pfizer Reportedly In Advanced Talks To Buy Allergan

(RTTNews) - Pfizer Inc. (PFE) is in advanced talks to buy Botox maker Allergan Plc (AGN) for as much as $380 per share, according to media reports citing people familiar with the matter. A deal at $380 per share would value the company at almost $150 billion.

The companies reportedly are aiming to announce a deal as soon as Monday, the people said. The price being discussed is $370 to $380 per share. However, the U.S. Treasury Department's letter on tax inversion deals, released on Wednesday, could delay the final agreement and change the terms of any transaction.

AGN closed Wednesday Trading at $310.80, up $13.48 or 4.53%. In After-hours, the stock further gained $2.20 or 0.71%.
