Recapture of inmate from Stan Daniels Healing Centre

EDMONTON, March 22, 2019 /CNW/ - At approximately 10:00 pm on March 20, 2019, inmate Jesse Leppanen was apprehended by the Edmonton Police Service. 

This inmate had been unlawfully at large from Stan Daniels Healing Centre, a facility managed by Native Counselling Services of Alberta (NCSA), since March 20, 2019, at approximately 3:00 pm.

CSC and NCSA are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Ensuring the safety and security of institutions, staff, and public remains the highest priority in the operations of the federal correctional system and NCSA.
