    Assignment Desks/News Editors
    REMINDER...for Thursday (Feb. 3)

    --(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Media Invited to Attend Interactive Opportunity

WHAT: A live "telenews" conference will be held, in which experts on nonqualified deferred compensation plans will provide detail on what the recently passed American Jobs Creation Act and subsequent guidance will mean to brokers and marketers of the plans, as well as the impact the legislation will have on clients. There will be time for questions immediately following the speakers' comments.

"This legislation creates a new set of rules for companies that offer nonqualified deferred compensation plans to their executives. The good news is that the law provides some clarity to the topic and tremendous opportunities for executive benefit planning," notes Mark West, director of Advanced Solutions for the Principal Financial Group and leader of the teleconference. "It is important for all companies to review their nonqualified deferred compensation plans during 2005 and make appropriate changes to insure compliance with the new rules."

Blaine Laverick - Exclusively focused on working with companies to design, implement, finance and provide Internet-based plan-level administration services for selected nonqualified deferred compensation programs, Laverick currently acts as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Executive Benefit Services, member company of the Principal Financial Group. He has more than twenty years of experience working directly with employers on their qualified and nonqualified retirement plans and other employee benefits.
