Report : BioMed Realty Trust Exploring Sale

(RTTNews) - BioMed Realty Trust Inc. (BMR) is exploring a sale and has drawn interest from firms including Blackstone Group LP, Bloomberg reported citing people familiar with the matter.

The report indicated that the San Diego-based real estate investment trust, with a market value of about $3.9 billion, is working with Morgan Stanley on a potential deal. Talks are ongoing and there's no guarantee a deal will get done.

BioMed, which went public in 2004, controls about $8 billion in high-quality laboratory properties, according to real estate research firm Green Street Advisors LLC.
